Pioneer Elementary Outdoor Education Program

The Pioneer Elementary Outdoor Education Program focuses on building awareness of the environment and the food we eat. Garden activities provide a seed to table experience for K-3rd graders while our environmental education lessons help build an appreciation for the natural world. During lessons, students explore our gardens and experience nature while creating positive memories about fresh and nutritious foods. K-3rd grade students visit the garden twice a month for a 45-minute lesson and older students are invited to participate in Garden Club during their lunch recess. The Pioneer Outdoor Education Program is volunteer-run and funded by our annual Rosemary Wreath fundraiser.
