Special Board of Education Meeting

The DJUSD Board of Education has scheduled a Special Board meeting this evening at 6:30 p.m. to discuss our Return to Campus Plans. Board of Education meetings can be viewed on DJUSD Education Channel 17 and by livestream, or you can watch archived recordings at djusd.tv.

Pioneer Elementary School Extracurricular Activities

It is not too late to sign up for any of our extracurricular opportunities. Below you will find a description of all offerings and links you can use to sign up for each activity. If you have previously signed up for one of the below activities, you do not need to sign up again.

Dance Club

Students will learn basic to intermediate hip hop and funk dance! We will focus on movement, rhythms, interpretation of music, and most importantly, having fun and performing! 

Our dance teacher Randi was a professional dancer for over ten years in NYC. She has been teaching for the past ten years and is so excited to share her knowledge and passion for dance with the prairie dogs!

Picture Day

School picture day is coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 6th and 7th. Lifetouch will be on campus from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., taking school pictures for students who would like to get a school picture taken this year. We ask any interested family to sign up for a time slot, and please remember to write down the day, time. Photos can be ordered online directly through Lifetouch, and more information will be sent out the week of the 29th. Free On-Campus COVID-19 Testing 

DJUSD is proud to provide free asymptomatic COVID-19 saliva testing for DJUSD staff and students, thanks to our partnership with Healthy Davis Together. If you have not already signed up through Healthy Davis Together with the DJUSD agency, we encourage you to do so before we begin Hybrid In-person Learning on April 12. Students and staff who are currently registered for testing through Healthy Davis Together can transfer their registration to DJUSD and receive a gift card for their time. Directions to sign-up and each sites’ testing times can be found on the District website. Staff and students may visit any DJUSD site to get tested - it does not have to be the school you work/attend.
