Return To Campus: Family Selection Survey

In preparation for opening our school for in-person hybrid instruction, which is planned for the week of April 12th, 2021, all families must select whether their child(ren) will return to school in the Phase 3 Hybrid model for in-person learning on campus or remain in Distance Learning.

Information about hybrid schedules, health and safety protocols, and other preparations is available here (https://www.djusd.net/covid-19/return_to_campus_family_guide) and additional information is available on the DJUSD website. The Return to Campus Guide will be mailed to all student households in English or Spanish in the coming week. The deadline for you to complete this survey is Sunday, March 14th, 2021. Please note that it is important to make a model selection for each child(ren) by the deadline.

Sports For Learning

We are excited to let you know that DJUSD has partnered with an organization called Sports for Learning to offer after-school extracurricular activities on our school campuses. We will offer four (4) sessions. Session 1 (March 8th-April 2nd), Session 2 (April 5-April 23), Session 3 (April 26-May 14), Session 4 (May 17-June 4). The link for Session 2 will go out later this week.

Each session will be made up of two groups of 15 students and one coach, for a total of 30 students served in each session. We aim to group the students by grade span, K-3 and 4-6; however, this is dependent on the number of registrants. The sessions will run from 3:00-5:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. There will be no classes on Wednesdays and no classes if it rains or if there is rain in the forecast. All coaches, volunteers, and students will follow COVID protocols, including social distancing, mask-wearing, handwashing, etc. All students and coaches must wear a mask the entire time they are on campus.

Intent to Return

Davis Joint Unified School District strives to make the best possible educational placements for all students. The information you provide helps to ensure classroom space for students in the coming school year. School staffing is based on requests received in the spring. Davis Joint Unified School District students in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade must have a legal parent/guardian complete this online process in the parent portal (https://parentportal.djusd.net/). The due date to have all Intent to Return forms submitted is March 19th.
