Dear Pioneer Families,
We had another busy, rainy week here at Pioneer! We had a lot of field trips in 2nd and 6th grade, celebrated Pi Day, and of course, St. Patrick’s Day. Please check out our new TV screen in the Pioneer office that showcases upcoming events and other past events!
Next week is our book fair from March 20th-24th which is themed “Out of this World” and will be space themed.
Please remember that this week (March 20th-24th ) is also our optional Parent Teacher Conference Week and there is early dismissal every day (M-F) that week at 1:30pm (except for TK/K).
Important Dates to Remember:
March 20th-24th= Parent Teacher Conferences (Optional) and Book Fair (Early Dismissal for all grades at 1:30pm except TK/K grades)
March 27th-31st= Spring Break (No School)
April 11th= Open House (6:30-7:30pm)

PTA Board Position Openings
Please consider joining the PTA Board to make sure that our school continues to benefit from everything they provide. While the PTA has some roles filled, they will not be able to continue next year without more help. Email [email protected] if you have any questions or want to volunteer.
Expansion of TK/Kindergarten
The District is considering adding facilities to meet the need of our Early Childhood Education programs, specifically the expansion of Universal Transitional Kindergarten and Extended-Day Kindergarten Site Concepts.
To learn more about the proposed facilities, please join us for a virtual presentation and provide us with feedback. This presentation will highlight the proposed expansion of our Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs in DJUSD and the facilities growth each elementary school site may undergo to accommodate additional classes and students for each program. You will also have the opportunity to hear from Matt Duffy, our Director of Elementary Education and Curriculum, as well as learn about future opportunities for public outreach.
