Pioneer Loves to Read - National Reading Month

It’s that time of year to celebrate reading for the whole month, including Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2nd. Therefore please join us in the celebration by checking out our Pioneer Loves to Read website, https://sites.google.com/view/pioneer-pta-read-a-thon/home. Here you will find daily videos of teachers, staff, and parent volunteers reading to you.

In addition, we have brought back our outdoor reading library in front of the Pioneer Elementary Library, C-building. This free volunteer library will be available for the entire month of March, rain or shine. It has every grade level TK-6th, including non-fiction and other books such as audio CD’s, magazines, workbooks, etc. Please be kind when visiting our outdoor space so that it can continue throughout the month. The selection will change daily. Take books, borrow books, leave books and enjoy reading every day. Remember, if you have Pioneer Library books no longer being used, please return those to the front office as they are needed at our school site.

Last but not least, mark your calendar for the Online Spring Book Fair scheduled for March 8 to 21st. The link will be provided on March 8th and Pioneer will benefit from all of the purchases made from the Scholastic Book Fair site. Books will be shipped for free (if over $25) to your home. If you purchase non-book items, there will be a shipping charge.
